A hike on the Stake Lake Trails

• a longer hike with some hills to test fitness
• likely lots of mosquitoes
• a route to the top of McConnell Hill, then a loop on the Bushwhacker Trail, which is a rougher route
• mostly double tracks along the route, with some single tracks on top of the hill
• lunch at a viewpoint on top of the hill
• a loop route back to the vehicles
• meet at the Stake Lake parking lot
• it would be best to stay with the group – routes are not obvious and there is wildlife in the area
• an earlier start
• a moderate pace with opportunities to take photos
• we will watch the weather and will updates the event, if required
• following KHC policy this will be a group of 6 with social distancing, but I may expand the group size if a second leader volunteers
