Description
Join John and Carole as we hike on the sunny side of the Thompson valley.
We will be off the trail for most of the time as we hike and explore the lower south and southwest parts of Mara Mountain.
This adventure will reveal some interesting features on our local terrain.
There will be some short scrambling, some up, down, and side hills to navigate.
Expect some mud, cactus, possibility of ticks.
Bring your “Ten Essentials”, lunch, water, camera, hiking poles recommended.
We will meet at the Brock dog park at 10:00.

I have been hiking in the Kamloops area for a number of years enjoying the alpine in the summer months. Joined the KHC in 2011 and have been leading hikes and snowshoe events ranging from moderate to difficult for over two years. Look forward to sharing the trail with others in the club.
