With the lack of snow, Carole and I will be leading a hike through sagebrush and grasslands. This will be a moderate hike with little elevation gain. We have hiked this trail many times in the sunshine and it never disappoints. The trail could be muddy (bring extra shoes for carpooling and the drive home), if we get fresh snow, traction devices could be helpful. Bring a wind breaker, gloves, toque, this area is sometimes very windy. We’ll stop for a short lunch break at the halfway point, bring something to sit on, conditions could be wet.
