Description
With the wildfire and very smoky conditions, we are cancelling our Trophy Mountain hike and replacing it with a hike in Coquihalla country. We will be keeping a close view of the wildfire situation and smoky conditions in the area (todays highway cameras show clear conditions)
This will be a strenuous all day event.
We will leave from the Aberdeen meet up location at 8:00am after arranging carpooling, driving to the trailhead at the Zopkios brake check, restroom facility parking area.
We will be gaining about 1,000 metres in elevation and covering 20+ km.
The trail to the top of Zupjok will require some bushwacking and route finding then we will follow the ridge as a group over Llama Peak to Alpaca Peak, returning the same way.
Participants will require good fitness and endurance to complete this event.
This is a long hike, bring your hiking essentials, plenty of water, food, additional layers, headlight, and your camera.
The hike leaders reserve the right to review and approve all participants.
