Join John and Carole on the Larch Hills snowshoe trails on Saturday, Jan. 27th. We are watching the weather for temperature and snow forecast. (date could change if weather does not cooperate)  The meet up location will be Valleyview Arena to arrange car pooling, arrive in time to depart by 9:00 (remember to discuss cost for car pooling, this is 1hr 45min drive and about 130km each direction)  I realize it is a 1 hour 45 minute drive from Kamloops but for Carole and myself, all hikes seem to be an hour away in any direction. We should be on the trail at about 10:45. The snowshoe trails at Larch are beautiful when conditions are good. We will be on the trail for about 3-4 hours stopping for a short break at a small shelter along the route covering about 7.5-8 km. The trail travels through forested sections and across 3 separate marshes. We will take a moderate pace allowing time for a short break and to enjoy the scenery and taking photo’s. Fee’s for the trails are $10. Payment is by the honor system with cash being deposited into a metal box or by e-transfer to ” manager@skilarchhills.ca ” Dress for the conditions, bring your essentials, lunch, and camera.
