Description
- Come join us Sunday 7th May on the Kalamalka Lake Trails in Vernon. Hopefully the flowers should be on full display.
- This is a popular club trail and very scenic.
- Approximately 15 km over moderate trails starting from the Jade Bay parking area.
- Average/moderate pace
- Lunch at the beach at Cosens Bay
- Bring water, lunch and all your hiking essentials.
- Don’t forget your camera!
- Meet at Valleyview Arena meetup.
- 1. 5 hr drive to the trailhead
- Please remember to donate to the Driver if you decide to carpool. (it’s 128kms each way!)
- 5 pm return to Kamloops is an estimate.

I have been retired for several years now but hiking has been a favorite past time over the years. I used to backpack a lot... many years ago.....and undertake some really challenging hikes but now my preference is just for a good day out!
We've been in Kamloops for about 11 years (2nd time around) so hiking/snowshoeing is still relatively new for me here. I've hiked a lot in the Lower Mainland/Whistler area and now we enjoy the freedom of retirement to be able to walk/hike in the UK, Europe and elsewhere in the world.
I enjoy hiking on single or double track paths with small groups and generally keep up a moderate to steady pace.
