Description

A hike on less-known trails in the Isobel Lake area.   The route will be Forest Capital Trail > Isobel Lake Trail > Eagles Eyrie Trail > Tapped Out (bike trail) >McQueen Creek FSR > Rock n’ Roll (bike trail) > Griffin Lake > start

  • meet at the Batchelor Hills meet-up spot at 10:00 to convoy/carpool
  • dress for the weather and conditions
  • I will review the forecast and advise the group if any changes are forthcoming
  • about 10.3 km on forested tracks with some lakeshore trails
  • stay with the group since there are many turns along the way
  • since I am hiking more slowly these days, faster hikers will need to wait and not get too far ahead; I know the area well and the turns are not at all obvious
  • With the new Covid guidelines the group size will only be 6.   If a second leader wants to follow us, he or she can post a duplicate event.
  • article on the trails – Isobel Lake Trails
  • more info to be added
