Description
This is a steady uphill climb route which takes us from the access road up to the top of the ski hill.  There are many mtn bike trails through this area but just about all of them will end up at the same place!! We will take a steady route up and spend time at the top for lunch and views.  There should be no bikes at this time of year as there is no transport to the top, and we may encounter other hikers or runners.
We will climb about 600 m over the 12km or so of trails and there are viewpoints at various pints as well as at the top.
We will meet at the Paul Lake meet up spot at 0930 to car pool to trailhead. By early November there could be a skiff of snow on the trails so maybe bring icers in case it is slippery.  Remember a nice warm layer for the top as you’ll be hot from the steady climb, and it could be cool at lunch.  Poles and good boots an asset for this one.
