Gerry’s Gyrations. Gyration: to move in a circle or spiral back to where you began!
I am proposing a hike or snowshoe for almost every Monday and Thursday, and some Saturdays. As it is Canada’s 150 birthday in 2017, my goal is to have 150 hiking club activities in the new year.
To paraphrase the theme song to “Paint Your Wagon”
Where am I going… I don’t know
Where and I headen… I ain’t certain
All I know is I am HIKEN today (on my way)
Due to the winter weather all hikes/snowshoeing will be very flexible. I will be posting a meet-up location & time and we’ll decide where we want to be for the next 4 to 5 hours (more or less). As Stuart Mclean said, “your hike (story) will have to be true, entertaining and enjoyable”. So expect that we won’t be staying on trails, we may “go where no man has gone before!”, and it will not be a walk in the park. Solid average fitness level is expected. For the most part these hikes will be less strenuous than Paul’s TRAMPS R US and harder than Michelle’s WANDERWEG. Be prepared for a good, fun-filled, physical outing.
Today’s hike/snowshoe? The plan is to visit the old homested. From there we will gyrate back to the cars. Bring something to sit on when having lunch.
Dress for the weather, suggust a thermos.
