Description
Gyration: to move in a circle or spiral back to where you started from.
I am proposing a hike for almost every Monday and Friday, and some Saturdays.
To paraphrase the theme song from “Paint Your Wagon”:
Where am I goin’? I don’t know.
Where am I headin’? I ain’t certain.
All I know is I am HIKIN’ today. (On my way.)
Due to seasonal weather changes at this time, all hikes will be flexible and be based on time, distance, and level of difficulty decided that day.
I will post a meet-up location and time and we’ll decide where we want to be for the next 4 to 5 hours (more or less).
As Stuart McLean said “your story (hike) will have to be true, entertaining and enjoyable”. So expect that we won’t be staying on trails, we may “go where no man has gone before”, and it will not be a walk in the park. Solid average fitness level is expected. For the most part these hikes will be less strenuous than Paul’s TRAMPS ‘ US and harder than Michelle’s WANDERWEGS.
Be prepared for a good, fun filled, physical outing.
** I have taken over this hike as Gerry has had to be elsewhere but the main focus of the hike will be the same; we will hike over some of the hills at Batchelor for a few hours at a moderate pace. Weather permitting we will be out for 3-4 hours. Sheila.
