Description
Join Margo and Sharon on this a fairly easy winter hike. The trail parallels Kamloops Lake to the North and drops into a ravine, ending at Sabiston Creek. Terrain is mix of double track and single track trail through grassland and along rocky sections above CN track. We will call this an exploration because we are unsure of the conditions on the trail. Soft edges and slight drop off sections in a few areas along the trail, but nothing that one can’t handle. Poles and sturdy boots required. May be some muddy sections.
About 35-40 min drive to trail head. We’ll be about 3.5 hrs on the trail including lunch. This trail is fully open to southern exposure, could be windy. Dress for the conditions. Bring ice traction device.
Carpooling cost about $5-7. Ample parking space at the trail head.
