Description

Hike on the alpine trails in Revelstoke National Park, the perfect place to be during this hot weather at 1,700 metres elevation. We will hike to Eva Lake, then to Miller Lake, lunch at one of these lakes. This is a 15 km hike, total elevation gain will be 500 metres spread out throughout the whole hike. Meet up at Valleyview arena to arrange any carpooling that people may want, leaving by 8:00 am. This a long drive but how many times have you been to Mount Revelstoke National Park, it will be about 3 hours, 232 km each direction. A National Park pass will be required to enter the park, I am not positive of the cost. After leaving Kamloops, the group will stop at the rest area before entering Revelstoke, at the junction with highway 23, washrooms are available. From here we will continue to the trailhead at Mount Revelstoke National Park. This is a remote hike, dress for changing conditions, bring your hiking essentials, bug spray, sun block, bear spray, lunch, camera. Any questions, email John at johnmoslin@gmail.com
