A large round of thanks to Katherine Roberts, Sharon Peters, and Gerry MacDougall for co-leading this hike!☺️👍🏻
An incredible out and back trail up to the Enderby Cliffs – featuring stunning views, lovely forests, and hopefully some lovely Fall Colours! On a breezy day, you can watch birds ride the wind up the cliff face and soar right over your head at the top. Clearly they are enjoying themselves. : )
We will meet at the Valleyview Arena Lot (North End) at 8:30AM and caravan to Enderby Cliffs. Portable restrooms are available at the Enderby Cliffs Parking Lot. We will go at a moderate pace, have our lunch break at the summit, then hoof back down. After the hike, those that wish to, will head over to reward themselves with a nice big ice cream cone at Sutherland’s Bakery & Ice Cream Shop {LOTS OF FLAVORS! – 1701 George St, Enderby} and “fortify” ourselves for the ride back home.
Total distance: approximately 13-14km with an elevation gain of just under 700 meters. (It’s a gooood hoof!) BC Parks says: “The Tplaqin Trail at Enderby Cliffs Provincial Park is a strenuous hike with significant elevation gain. Carry water and wear appropriate footwear.”
Bring: 10 Essentials (please review this list if you have not already done so), and lots of water, lunch, etc.
