A hike from the McQueen Lake area up the Mud Lake Road, then a climb onto Opax Mountain

• cloudy conditions forecast but we should be fine for a morning hike
• meet up at the Batchelor Hills meet-up area to organize vehicles
• participants can organize their own carpooling or drive their own vehicles to the trailhead area
• hike up the Opax East route to the summit area, then across a forested slope (no trail) to the top of the bluffs
• lunch at the viewpoint and some exploration of the open ridge before returning by the same route
• this area is backcountry and few people know this area, so we will stay together
• the climb is harder and a rugged route to a remote spot
