Description
A hike up and then back down scenic Tranquille Ridge
- most of this route will be off-trail with some rugged terrain
- meet-up at the Ord Road spot to carpool
- a good challenging uphill route from the bottom all the way to the top of The Pimple – 2.6 km with a 400m elevation climb (1300 feet)
- lunch on top of The Pimple at a viewpoint
- ticks will be out; some of the surface will be on loose material, some winding in and out of sagebrush and around obstacles; some drop-offs near Tranquille Ridge

- we will stay roughly together so everyone is part of the group, especially for navigation and safety (if someone gets ahead, don’t follow them)
Note – the original route includes the Garden of the Trolls but the snow is late to melt so that will happen on another day.
