Description
A hike to the top of Dewdrop Ridge overlooking the basalt columns then a traverse to a lower ridge under more columns and finally a climb to the top of Dewdrop Ridge for more views and loop back to the trailhead
- meetup at the Ord Road meetup spot at 9:30
- carpool to the trailhead (the first pull-off on the Frederick Road)
- hike for about 2 hours with a lunch/thermos stop at a viewpoint
- dress for the weather
- a scenic route
- some off-trail footing with loose material – wear good boots and poles are recommended

- the turns are not obvious and it would be very easy to go the wrong way so I am asking hikers to stay together (for safety and my own sanity and enjoyment too)
