Description
An off-trail hike to the top of the basalt bluffs, followed by some scrambling on slopes between the bluffs and back up again
- meet at the Ord Road meet-up just before 10:00 (we will be gone by 10:01)
- carpool to the trailhead
- come prepared for snow, mud, ice, and loose footing conditions
- traction devices may be a good idea
- hike for 2 hours with a break for lunch at a viewpoint
- a scenic route
- good boots are required and hiking poles are recommended

- this route has no trails and involves working our way over uneven surfaces with light scrambling
- new members are welcome, but this is not a novices route
