Description
We will meet at Brock shopping centre to carpool to trailhead.  We will follow the regular Dewdrop Trail – a steep climb so core fitness is necessary.  This is is be a demanding hike so do not register if this is your first hike of the season; or if you have been unable to keep in shape through the winter.
EVENT UPDATE:  Frith & I hiked this trail last week and the route now will be changed to the clockwise direction.  The trail up to the west end of the ridge is rough, steep, rocky, and not too well defined in places so it is important that the group stay together.  It is a good 1 and a half hour steady climb to the ridge then we will follow the ridge to the lookouts then come down on the regular trail back to the cars.
We will start the day with a short car pool to the base of the west end trail; a 3 Km drive along a dirt road, then at the end will collect the cars.  This will save us hiking the road.
Bring plenty of water, it’s a hot climb. Â Poles highly recommended for the downhill as the trail is loose in places.
This hike is weather dependent as the hike up could be slick if there is any precipitation.
