With the slow snow melt, it is hard to know where we can hike ice-free so we will adjust the actual hike location closer to the actual date

• trails are still snowy, icy or muddy so we are going to a dry area
• hike for 5 km (about 2 hours) on moderate terrain
• lunch along the route at the turn-around point
• meet at Brock Dog Park
• drive to the Cooney Bay  trailhead
• hike along the beach, over a bluff and along to a viewpoint for lunch
• beachcombing opportunities
• a scenic route while we wait for the hills to dry out
