Description
This will be a slower paced version of Castle Butte. We will follow the Dewdrop Trail to Red Plateau stopping at various viewpoints along the way. From there, depending on group consensus we may (or may not) do the final scramble the Castle Butte. Either way there will be amazing views overlooking Kamloops Lake and beyond.
This is a steep hike but we will work our way up at a slower pace with lots of breaks stopping at various viewpoints along the way. We will only go as fast as the slowest person.
This hike is approximately 13 -15 km with an elevation gain of about 2000 feet if we go the to very top. Expect to be on the trail for the entire day.
Please bring plenty of water, lunch, sturdy boots, poles and dress for the weather.
Meet at the Brocklehurst Dog Park for 9:00 am to carpool to the trailhead.
Ticks will be out and hopefully so will the sunshine 🙂
2 dogs maximum, please comment if you are bringing your dog.
