Description
This is a very hilly, scenic hike just outside of the city close to Tobiano. We start on double track trails then climb off trail to a great viewpoint for lunch. The route back is up and down some steep off trail hills, with some fence crossings. By this time of year there should be no cattle or mtn bikes or dirt bikes, but you never know! The route is about 10 km, and 300-400 m of ups and downs and the off trail sections have deadfalls to be negotiated.
We will meet at the Hillside meet up spot at 1100 to carpool out to the start. Highway and a short gravel approach, any vehicle will be fine.

I have been retired for several years now and enjoy many activities in the outdoors such as hiking, cycling, skiing, backpacking. I have lived in Canada for the last 35 years and spent a great deal of time exploring the Rockies, K-country, Kootenays and parts of BC.
I get out on a hike, ski or cycle ride several times a week either with the club or family and enjoy running multi day trips as well as day outings.I will lead fairly strenuous, moderate to steady paced outings as well as some starter outings.
