Description
Update: because of the heat forecast (currently 45 degrees celsius downtown), this event is being rescheduled for Sunday, July 4th at 9:00 am at Riverside Park. Â
Our next novel is George Mercer’s Dyed In The Green.
National Park Warden Ben Matthews expected challenges with his new posting at Cape Breton Highlands, but he got more than he bargained for. Facing a notorious poacher and the local communities who viewed poaching as a way of life, Ben and the park wardens are drawn into an intricate game of cat and mouse that takes a turn no one could have imagined. Set along the world-famous Cabot Trail, this is a gripping story about protecting one of Canada’s special places.
We now get to hike and book talk! We will hike into Peterson Creek, stop in the woods (bring hiking chair or mat to sit on) discuss the book and hike out. Approximately an hour of hiking, an hour discussion, an hour hiking back.
We will meet at the Lower Peterson Creek entrance. The hike up toward the tower is a decent incline. The pace will be moderate. Bring your 10 essentials, it’s always good practice.
