A route in the Lac Du Bois grasslands starting on the Big Horn Loop and then making an exploratory route up to Mara summit via an off trail route.   The leader has not done this route before so it will be a bit of a route finding event.   Lunch at the summit before heading down and returning a similar route.

Some moderate climbing off trail, and an out an back on a good trail.   We will meet at the cattle guard meeting spot and car convoy from there.   You are welcome to bring pooch but keep them on leash at all times.

I have been retired for several years now and enjoy many activities in the outdoors such as hiking, cycling, skiing, backpacking. I have lived in Canada for the last 35 years and spent a great deal of time exploring the Rockies, K-country, Kootenays and parts of BC.

I get out on a hike, ski or cycle ride several times a week either with the club or family and enjoy running multi day trips as well as day outings.I will lead fairly strenuous, moderate to steady paced outings as well as some starter outings.
