Description
Before the trails get covered by lovely fluffy white stuff let’s do a jaunt on the trails.  We will circuit around and go up to the lookout for a short lunch break, then come back again by a different route.  The area is not open for skiing right now, and there is no snow on the ground (maybe the odd bit in the trees or mud areas), but bring poles and good traction boots.  If you have traction devices for your boots bring them along and we can assess at the parking lot if they will be necessary.
Bring a warm layer to sit outside for lunch; it could be more windy at the lookout.
We will be practicing social distancing throughout the hike and lunchbreak, and keeping the group to 6 participants. We will meet at Stake Lake parking area at 1030 and will be out on the trails for 2-3 hours; distance 10-12 km depending on which trails we take.  You are welcome to bring your furry friend, but be prepared to keep them on leash.
If we suddenly get a dump of snow the event will not run; but currently there is no snow in the forecast.  I will make a note on the listing the day before if there is a change.
