Come and join John and Carole for this scenic hike to Battle bluffs with magnificent views of Kamloops lake. This is a club favorite and it is not difficult to see why once you reach the viewpoint. We will hike cross country towards the south, then follow the ridge until reaching the usual hiking route, below the ridge on the way out.

This is considered a moderate 6 – 8km hike with one steep hill before reaching the summit. Meet at Brock dog park at 10:00  am, carpool to be arranged shortly after. Bring your ten essentials, pack a lunch, camera will be needed to capture this scenic hike. If you are carpooling, please provide $ 2.00 to $ 3.00 dollars to the driver based on number of people carpooling in the vehicle. Lunch will take place on the summit and we will take time to enjoy the view and relax before the return trip down.
See you there!! Remember to dress in layers as this time pf year, the temp can vary greatly and can be windy on the summit.

Have been a member of KHC since 2011-leading hikes/snowshoes events in Kamloops and surrounding areas since 2011. Have been arepresentative onthe Kamloops Hiking Club BoardofDirector and hike leader co-ordinator in past years. Passionate about hiking and always looking for new trails to explore. Extensive hiking in the Rockies and Utah. Have also hiked the Tour de Mt Blanc circuit in Europe and Everest Base Camp in Nepal. Recently retired , I am looking forward to explore and discover new trailsclose to home and abroad and tocontinue to lead hikes/snowshoes events. Most of the hikes I lead can range from easy, moderate to harder. I feel grateful in being able to share my favorite hikes with club members and to spread my love of nature with others.
