Description
Registration will be enabled Friday at 6pm. This hike will be a moderate to difficult steady climb up toward the tower.
This series focuses on building strength and endurance for our multi-day backpacks.
What to expect: laughter and fun / we hike at a moderately steady pace / we make one-two stops for strength training and stretching– work at your own level.
Bring hiking boots or sturdy shoes, hiking poles, headlamp, hydration, elastic resistant bands, and weights (optional).
The terrain is on the trail and includes elevation gain. Hikes last approximately 2 hrs and average 5-7 km. Moderate steady pace. Havana (my dog) will join us on most hikes.
We will follow the club’s SOCIAL DISTANCING POLICY some of which are:
- Hikers will maintain at least 2 m distance from each other.
- At all stops, social distancing will be required.
- No shared goods nor other forms of sharing are allowed.
- Any member who is not well should not participate in KHC events for the safety of everyone.
- Washing of hands, wearing gloves and masks, coughing or sneezing into the elbow, not touching the face, carry sanitizer, etc. are all encouraged by KHC.
- KHC members are expected to abide by KHC’s social distancing policy. Non-compliance with safety requirements will not be accepted.
Arrive at the meeting place at least 10 minutes before the stated departure time to give yourself enough time to receive information, and meet the other members of the group.
If a booking has to be canceled, please do so as early as possible and no later than 1 hour before the meet-up time. Cancellations are done by going to the Your Bookings Page on the menu bar, not by commenting on an event.
