Description
Apologies to all participants. With the amount of snow we have seen in Kamloops and now the rapid thaw there is far too much sloshy snow and squelchy mud to do this hike safely and comfortably.  I will try to repost later in the season when we can do those heart pumping hills!
So the alternate plan for an outing – we will meet at Aberdeen Mall at 1000 am and drive out to Savona to hike along the Sabiston Creek trail.  It is snow free now but there may be patches of mud after the forecast of rain on Friday.  Bring poles and boots that will survive mud; also if you choose to carpool another pair of clean shoes to travel back.
The trail is new to me but I understand it is gently rolling terrain along Kamloops lake and very scenic.  We will hike for two to three hours to the end of the trail and back and will have lunch at the turnaround point.  Please be prepared to pay your driver $5 if you choose to carpool.
I will leave all your names on the list but if this hike does not suit your plans feel free to cancel.
