Description
An easy 8-10 km loop following double tracks through forest and rangeland around a small saltwater pond. One steep downhill section which may be slippery…. and of course we have to come uphill again on the loop. Lovely views over Kamloops lake and Dewdrop range opposite. We will find a spot to have a short lunch break during the loop.  You are welcome to bring your furry friend on this one, but bring a leash to keep them close. Bring hiking poles and traction devices in case there are icy spots.
If the recent snowfall lingers this hike will not run. An update will be on the website close to the date if this is the case. We can meet at the Aberdeen meet up spot to car convoy but it is only a 10 minute drive out to Abbey road on the hwy 1.  Will keep the group to 6 as there is only a small parking area.  We will be practicing social distancing on the hike; bring hand sanitizer and face coverings to be used if necessary.
