Description
This will be my 15th consecutive day of winter hiking so I will be out stomping in the hills that morning and for that hike, KHC members are invited to join me. I will be picking a route in the middle – upper grasslands for a 2 hour outing.  For most of these winter hikes I bring traction devices and wear gaiters, but the mild weather and low snowpack means we can go anywhere in the grasslands.  To avoid ice, we just pick routes that are not all stomped in.  I will pick a route in the last couple of days.  It will be a moderate route, but it is more work to hike in the snow and we will find some hills to climb too (just for fun).
To enjoy this hike,
- wear good boots and gaiters
- bring traction devices
- be prepared for off-trail routes
- be prepared for hiking some hills
- maintain a steady pace, except for a lunch/tea break
- have a positive attitude
