Description
This is a longer hike using some of the hilly trails in Kenna Cartwright. Frith and I are training ourselves for an upcoming 250 km hike and need to do some longer, not necessarily faster, days, so are aiming for 15km+/- distance.
We will start at the Hillside meet up spot at 0930 and take trails up and down through to the Sagebrush area, across to the university trails and go for coffee at the Common Grounds coffee shop on campus. There are picnic tables outside if you wish to bring your own lunch. The route is some 7 or 8 kms each way and covers some good dips and doodles. There are several good viewpoints on this route, ideal for snack/drink breaks.
This is a dog friendly hike with a lot of off leash areas; but we do have a couple of major road crossings and university campus so those would be leash areas.
