KHChirps Kamloops Naturalist Club has a Nature Park concept drawing/proposal and City Council will be making  decision about it (and other choices) this fall.   KHC supports the idea of having a nature park on the island. KHChirps Hunting season has started so it is would be best to take additional caution in the backcountry.   Here is an article on Hiking in Hunting Season.
