Website – Shaw Email Issue – Events – Fixed
Overview
We identified that between Jan 17 and Jan 22, 2023 Shaw email users are no not getting Event email notifications from the KHC website which are sent from Kamloops Hiking Club (noreply@KamloopsHikingClub.net).
- Club members with Shaw email accounts will not receive emails for event registration, cancellation and will also not receive event reminder and comment emails as well as emails sent to the event group from the booking.
- Hike Leaders with Shaw email accounts who book events will not receive the booking confirmation emails when members sign up for their events and will not receive emails for event registration, cancellation and will also not receive event reminder and comment emails.
- Note: If a Hike Leader needs to cancel or reschedule an event the event Title should be updated & a comment should be added to the event. In addition, the Hike Leader can sending an email to the event group keeping in mind that Shaw email users which not get the email. Hike Leaders can see which members have Shaw Accounts by going to “Managed Bookings”.
At this time, we are unclear on what caused the issue and why only Shaw email accounts are impacted. We have confirmed GMail, Telus, Hotmail and other email accounts are working as expected. We are doing some testing & investigation with Shaw Email users using the Test Event – Shaw Email Users
