One of the best benefits of being a KHC member is the opportunity to network with other like-minded people.   We can hike with others and talk about getting out on other hikes, either those listed as KHC hikes, or as an informal arrangement with other members.

One way to do this is to watch the Forums, now activated on this website.   Two Forum topics are listed right now and all members can participate in them.   The meetups topic is started and it could be as simple as “Is anyone interested in hiking at Paul Lake on the weekend?”   Members can respond and a meetup can be arranged without a hike leader.    We have over 100 experienced hikers who know the trails of our area so any one of them could lead the way in a small group.

Forum Topics are listed in a widget on the right side and members are encouraged to click the  links to see what is there.   The overall Forum page is found in drop-down pages on the Menu bar too.

If all the hikes are filling up, try using the Meetups Topic to get some people together.
