DESCRIPTION:A Wednesday Wander in the Woods at the end of December\n\n 	a 2
  to 3.5 hour snowshoe on forest trails\n 	location -  a new area and loop
  - the Upper Goose Lake Hills\n 	carpool to the trailhead (35 km return - 
 $3/person)\n 	all www@ events will require reasonable fitness\; expect som
 e hills\n 	dress for the conditions and review the Ten Essentials\, please
  (everyone should have their own first aid kit too)\n 	each participant sh
 ould carry a contact/emergency information card in his/her upper compartme
 nt of the backpack in case of an accident or unforeseen problem\n 	please 
 ensure that you have edited your website user profile to include your cell
  phone number\, emergency contact\, etc.  since that is the information t
 hat the hike leader will have on\n 	there will be a www@ event most Wednes
 days for the winter season\, many of them on snowshoes\, as personal sched
 ules permit\n 	bring something to sit on for lunch\n 	we will stick togeth
 er for safety\; all www@ events are group hikes/snowshoes\n 	the end times
  will be fluid since there is no way to predict weather\, driving conditio
 ns\, pace of the group\, decisions made while out on the trail\, etc.   
 If you have an afternoon deadline\, it is best to not register\n 	snowshoe
 ing events - poles are recommended for stability\n 	most snowshoe events w
 ill be on forest tracks and may involve crossing some deadfall and will al
 ways have some uneven footing and possible hazards\; some experience in of
 f-trail 'shoeing is very helpful\n 	bring a bag for snowshoes and snowy be
 longings if you are carpooling\n 	most events are dog-friendly\, but owner
 s should consider the air temperature\, snow depth and snow conditions\n 	
 other hike leaders will offer snowshoeing events on set tracks at Sun Peak
 s\, Larch Hills\, Silver Star\, Stake Lake\, Skmana\, etc.   These are b
 etter for novice snowshoers or anyone with less confidence in off-track sn
 owshoeing and exploring.  Most www@ events will be off track routes\n 	gu
 ests are welcome but the sponsoring member must ensure that waivers\, even
 t details\, fitness requirements\, equipment\, etc\, are all taken care of
  and it is not extra work for the hike leader or the group\n 	new - each w
 eek we will have a shared item (baked goods\, etc.) to share with the grou
 p and there will be a planned a group photo for each www@ event at the lun
 ch spot\n 	later season snowshoe events will include some more challenging
