This is a really neat area just opposite Rayleigh with many trails to explore.  It is an old burn area so is fairly open, and the route is mostly old double track, plus some exploratory off track spots and cow trails.   Views over the north Thompson valley and city are extensive.   We gradually climb up onto the hills and explore some old tracks, and cow tracks, to make a loop over some great viewpoints.   This area can be quite windy, and is exposed to weather, so dress accordingly.

I have only been in this area once on a 10+km loop and we will aim to do this loop plus a bit of an explore higher up.  We will meet at the Paul Lake junction meet up spot at 9.30 to car pool to the parking area just north of Rayleigh.
