Description
Beginning and ending on a double track on the south side of the highway above Chase, BC.
Discover a new trail “Rocky Road” built by the Shuswap Trail Alliance, this is a 1 km section leading off of the double track returning at the switchbacks.
The trail continues west on an old double track before heading south on a short steep trail to the grassy meadows on top of the mountain.
Great views from of the South Thompson River and Chase.
The Kamloops group will meet at Valleyview arena to organize carpooling leaving by 9:30 meeting John and Carole at Chase Petro Can.
After returning to the vehicles participants can do a short optional hike be to Chase Creek falls and also stopping for coffee or tea at Craig’s Bakery in Chase.

I have been hiking in the Kamloops area for a number of years enjoying the alpine in the summer months. Joined the KHC in 2011 and have been leading hikes and snowshoe events ranging from moderate to difficult for over two years. Look forward to sharing the trail with others in the club.
