Description

A collection of four large lakes and several smaller pools located on a high karst plateau. This area is surrounded by limestone summits and a beautiful glacier. We will hike amongst alpine meadows, and have impressive views of rocky peaks. This area is perfect for wandering, relaxing and taking pictures that is once we trek our way in.
This backpack is not for novice backpackers.
A requirement to be on this backpack is to have done a backpack with me before. Otherwise, you will be required to do some Backpack Bootcamps or day hikes/snowshoes with me prior so that I can assess your ability and knowledge. We will be starting out on a defined trail and then once we reach Sylvan Pass we will be route finding, such as looking for tread wear, ribbons, and Cairns. Because of the route finding required, this backpack is weather dependent. A plan B will be to basecamp at Joffre Creek or hike in other areas in the Height of the Rockies.
There are no backcountry reservations required for this trip.
Location: Height of the Rockies North
