Description
Hiking at Kalamalka Lake is always great so lets have 2 hikes!
This hike, we will start from the Cosens Bay Gate and hike in to the beach at Cosens Bay for an early lunch.
In the afternoon we will tackle the Lookout Trail to John’s Jump Lookout and then back to the gate via The Wall. Then we will move the cars down to the Cougar Canyon Parking Lot and hike into the Cougar Canyon for the great views of Kalamalka Lake and the unique canyon. The round trip takes about 80 minutes.
Bring all your usual supplies and plenty of water. It can be warm!
Given the driving, this is a full day event!

I have been retired for several years now but hiking has been a favorite past time over the years. I used to backpack a lot... many years ago.....and undertake some really challenging hikes but now my preference is just for a good day out!
We've been in Kamloops for about 11 years (2nd time around) so hiking/snowshoeing is still relatively new for me here. I've hiked a lot in the Lower Mainland/Whistler area and now we enjoy the freedom of retirement to be able to walk/hike in the UK, Europe and elsewhere in the world.
I enjoy hiking on single or double track paths with small groups and generally keep up a moderate to steady pace.
