DESCRIPTION:Leaders: Maureen Thorkelson and Lisa Boutry.\n\nPlease join Lis
 a and I on a nice easy Sunday hike to Battle Bluff.\n\nThis will be about 
 5-6km in total over about 2.5 hours. This is a local Kamloops favorite wit
 h great views of Kamloops Lake. We will stop at the top of the Bluff for a
  nice snack/lunch break to sit\, chat\, and enjoy the view for a while. Th
 is time out please expect to do a bit of wandering off the usual path.\n\n
 There is a moderate climb to the bluff with some parts that can get a bit 
 slippery so hiking shoes and even a pole or two are recommended.  We will
  be going slow on the hills with plenty of stops for pictures\, water and 
 breath breaks.\n\nI expect most of the snow will be gone by Sunday as ther
 e are plenty of dry sections up there already\, but do please come prepare
 d and expect a little bit of everything. Poles and micro spikes would be a
  good idea this time of year.\n\nPlease be at the airport dog park on Avia
 tion Way by 10:30am. We will head out together from there which is only a 
 15 minute drive to the trailhead on Frederick Rd. Carpooling from the meet
 -up spot based on your own discretion.\n\nThis is a dog-friendly hike for 
 up to 3 dogs. There are deer up in the area so a leash is recommended. I w
 ill have my dog Kacie. Please add a comment if you will be bringing a dog.
