Description
This is a kayak/canoe trip to the Spillman Beaches Provincial Marine Park on Adams Lake. There are several user maintained campsites in the Park and we will try to get in at Spillman 1 (Two Totems) site. Enough tenting room for 3-5 tents, depending on site.
Kayak/canoe must be equal to or greater than 14ft long and sea-worthy. All safety gear such as bailer, throw rope, etc must be on boats. Participants must be comfortable with crossing Adams Lake and therefore some knowledge of reading water/weather conditions is an asset. It is between 50 – 75 minutes from put-in to campsite, depending on paddling ability and water conditions.
Participants could choose options for trip:
1. Full trip, 3 nights: Leave Thursday afternoon (~1pm) and return Sunday afternoon.
2. One or two nights camping. May require accessing (i.e. crossing lake) campsite without leader. Must be comfortable with this. Contact leader if this is your preferred option.
3. Day trip. Will require accessing (i.e. crossing lake) campsite without the leader. Contact leader if this is your preferred option.
